Professional Biography - L. Cervantes
Lisa Cervantes is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Miami University before earning her B.S. in Business Administration from Xavier University.
She worked as an accountant for several years in the chemical industry before pursuing further education and changing careers. She is a 1997 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Physician Assistant Program and recently obtained her Masters degree from the University of Nebraska.
She has practiced in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics for six years, specializing in the care and treatment of patients with liver disease. She has a particular interest in patients with viral hepatitis, as well as in caring for patients with end-stage liver disease.
She is on the Speaker's Bureau for Roche and Schering Plough. She also serves the Physician Assistant Department at UW-Madison as a clinical preceptor. Lisa very much enjoys teaching health care providers, students, and patients about liver and GI diseases.
